Student Shopping Nights

I've been at University for almost 2 years now, however I have never attended a student lock in, or shopping night before now. They are usually held in large shopping centre's, here in Sheffield it is held at Meadowhall, which is great as its only around 20minutes drive away from where I live! The student night I attended was held by Unidays, providing discounts in all of the major shops. Being a student only event the nights are often held a week or so after loan day, which is pretty obvious as any other time of they year us students are pretty skint! The event started at 6pm and ended at 9pm, although non-students could attend Meadowhall for normal shopping only those with valid student ID's were given a wrist band which then allowed access to the major discounts in stores. It was an exciting opportunity to bag some deals and splurge out treating myself to items I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford! Not only was there up to 30% off in the likes of Topshop, River Island, H&M, Newlook, Office, Miss Selfridge, MAC cosmetics, and more, most stores were giving away free gifts and goodie bags worth up to £20, when you spent so much money with them! The whole night was a party atmosphere, with capital radio station DJ'ing in the main lobby, DJ's in stores such as Topshop and Newlook, and free give aways and prizes to be won. 

So the first place I went was obviously the MAC cosmetics counter in Debenhams, although we got down pretty early it was a given that it was going to be pretty packed, however I'd never seen anything like the crowd and que's in MAC before, not even at Christmas time! We still joined the madness though and I came away with some pretty pretty makeup! I just couldn't resit it!

So I've had my eye on the Mineralize Skinfinish for a while, I love how it's a broze with highlighter swirled into it, I bought the product in the colour Global Glow as this colour best suited my skin tone. I haven't tried it yet however I'm sure it will look so pretty on, its perfect for going out as it has a hint of shimmer to it, so I'm super excited about that!

I also picked myself up another Studio Fix Bold Black Lash, as I hate hate hate, running out of my favorite products, so this was a stock up. I find this mascara perfect for every day where, mine has never gone clumpy or gluey like some mascaras go after a large amount of use.

The next store we headed to was H&M, and I spotted another item that I'd had my eye on for a while!

This absolute gorgeous coat is a pale pink almost nude colour with large side pockets and a zip up the front. Although we've had some pretty decent weather lately, and there hasn't even been a need to take a coat out, which is usually a risk here in the North of the UK, I just couldn't resist, even if I don't get my ware from it anytime soon, I'm sure once summer passes I can wear it all winter long. Boux Avenue was my ultimate spend, I love the underwear from here, it keeps it's shape after washes, the sizes fit me personally perfect and I adore all the gorgeous underwear they stock.

This red matching set was an absolute steal, on certain underwear they had £25 for both bra and pant set, and when the bra should have been £24 in it's self I had to bag this.

This bra was probably my absolute favorite item I bought, the satin pink and the dark grey lace contrast it beautiful I can't wait to wear it! Pretty underwear is a must, it always makes me feel better about myself, I'm just gutted that they had none of the matching knickers in my size at the time, so I'm gonna keep my eye out and purchase those when there next in stock!

Boux Avenue, had the most amazing of deals, if you spent over £45 with them then you got a free goodie bag, which was an absolute dream! Usually goodie bags are not much to rave over but they had gone all out and the presents that were in them were actually really lovely.

So the goodie bag included, a pair of their pjamma short's, a Boux Avenue compact mirror and hair brush, a white Barry M eyeliner which I'm so excited about using, an extremely large can of Batiste dry shampoo, and a packet of sweets! You can't go wrong with spending money to then be given free treats such as these!

Ok, so finally I splurged out in both Miss Selfridge which had a major 50% off some items, and River Island where I bagged two tops both 30% off!

The black top from Miss Selfridge, found here has cut out shoulders, which I'm totally loving at the moment! The top pictured in the middle found here at River Island, is quite slouchy and I thought teamed with some super skinny jeans and dressed up with some accessories it'd be perfect for during the day. The final top found here, also from River Island is absolutely gorgeous, I love white, I think its perfect all year round and can be paired with anything. 

So, all in all it was a major shopping spree but absolutely worth it, it was such a brilliant atmosphere, and above all a ton of brilliant savings!
